The word means “protection” in German. Schutz was founded by Alexandre Birman and started operating in 1995.

The brand invests heavily in researching trends, and in developing new materials and technologies to create its portfolio. Its mission is to offer a product concept related to design, quality, fashion and freedom of expression.

The result is a series of collections intended to reflect the spirit of the young contemporary woman – sexy, irreverent and daring – who challenges the consensus.

Schutz footwear, handbags and accessories are currently available from outlets in every Brazilian State. The brand also has its owned stores in the country’s main State capital and flagship stores in key fashion centers. The brand has three owned stores overseas – on Madison Avenue in New York, on Beverly Drive in Los Angeles, and at the Aventura Mall in Miami – as well as a number of outlets, multibrand stores and online.
